ANGELIQUE “ANGIE” DAVIS Obituary

Angelique Charlene Davis, lovingly known as “Angie,” passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 57. A lifelong resident of New York, New York, Angelique was a vibrant spirit whose presence filled every room with warmth, laughter, and light.

For 30 dedicated years, Angelique faithfully served at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was deeply loved and respected by her colleagues. Her compassion, professionalism, and unmistakable smile made a lasting impact on everyone blessed to work alongside her. She did not just work there — she built relationships, created memories, and became family to many.

Angie was well-loved and truly the life of the party. Her smile lit up any room she walked into, and her laughter was unforgettable. She was funny, strong, stylish, and unapologetically herself. Above all things, she was a proud and devoted boy mom — her son Xavier was her greatest joy and accomplishment.

Angelique loved to cook — and she didn’t just cook, she threw down in the kitchen. Family gatherings were never complete without her food, her energy, and her signature red — her favorite color. She cherished quality time with her loved ones and had a way of making everyone feel special and seen.

If you ever called her voicemail, you were greeted with her favorite saying, one she kept for years: “Is it me you’re looking for?” That playful line perfectly captured her humor and personality.

Angelique was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sylvia Louise Davis.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: Her beloved son, Xavier Lumsden; Her siblings, Tiawana Scott and Reginald Davis; Her brother-in-law, David Scott Sr.; Her god-daughter and niece, Tyshemia Scott; Her god-daughter, Takina Davis; Her nephews, David Scott Jr. and Kemel Alexander Davis; Her great-nephews, Malcom Cowart Jr., David Scott III, and Uriah Scott; And her beloved pet, Roxy.

Angelique’s legacy of love, laughter, strength, and style will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
