Albert "Al" Stallworth of Bronx, NY entered into rest on Wednesday December 28,2022 at Saint Barnabas Hospital. He was the husband of forty-nine years to Dorothy Stallworth (or Brown as he commonly called her). He was born on June 23, 1949 in Beatrice, Alabama to the late Jimmie and Lillie Ruth Stallworth.
Also known as “Lankey Boy”, he was always the life of the party. Family gatherings were what he loved most and it showed. He made sure to never miss an opportunity to be with his family, near or far. Al worked as a truck driver for the Schaeffer Company for over 35 years to provide for his family before retiring in 2009. He loved to drive, smoke his weed and knew every road like the back of his hand. He was Google Maps before there was Google maps. It didn't matter what state, city or town, all he needed was a few details and he could direct you to your destination. He was and will always be Amazing like that!
Just as much as he loved his family he loved them New York Knicks and The Dallas Cowboys!!
In addition to his loving wife, Al leaves to mourn his passing three daughters, Valerie Stallworth of Tuscaloosa, AL, Monette Stallworth & Melissa (Joel) Stallworth-Jones both of Bronx, NY. Five Grandchildren, Phillip "Pj" (Shahane), Kiara "Snoody", Chantz "Chantzie", Je'cob "PooPoo" and Sincere "Moose". Four Great-grandchildren, Javion “Juicy”, Kyson, J'Meir and Phillesity “LaLa”.
He is also survived by his siblings James Stallworth (Carole) , Jimmy Stallworth, Clinton Stallworth, Charles Stallworh, Rosetta Williams (Fred) , Betty Lindo, Jacqueline Stallworth, Mary Stallworth, Frank White Jr (Deynean) , Fannie Stallworth, Caroline Stallworth, Nadine McCorvey and Cecilia White. He will also be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister's, Ethel Stallworth and Bessie "Geneva" Stallworth.
Everyone loved Pops AKA Gramps. He will forever remain in our hearts, minds and souls just because that was him.
Our DADDY was the greatest!!
