LAURA L. LOPEZ-MARALDO, RN BSN

Laura Lopez – Maraldo RN, 66, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital surrounded by family & friends.

Laura was born in Brooklyn, NY  attended Brooklyn college and received her BSN in Nursing from Downstate School of Nursing.

Laura met the love of her life, Walt Maraldo, a paramedic in NYC and were married for 35 years.

Laura worked as an RN in the operating room at Staten Island University Hospital until they moved to Middletown, NJ.

Lee as she was called lovingly by Walt was active in gardening and was a tireless member of NJ Shetland Sheepdog Rescue and NJ Golden Retriever Rescues.

She and Walt fostered over a few dozen dogs and placed them in there forever homes.

Laura is survived by her husband Walt, many nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives & friends.
