VERONICA WILSON Obituary

Veronica Douglas was born in Paterson, New Jersey on March 31st, 1964, as the third of four girls born to her mother. Her proud parents were Henry Lee Douglas and Ella Mae Douglas.

Veronica graduated from Passaic County Technical and Vocational High School in 1982, with a focus on Business Occupations and Computers. She later graduated from Phoenix University in 2004, with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. The following year, she gave birth to her only child, Wes Wilson III, with her then husband, Wesley Wilson Jr.

Veronica spent many years working with computers as a Data Entry Specialist and in the realm of data analytics. Over the years she had the pleasure of working for ADP, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and most recently, Kantar, just to name a few.

In her late twenties, Veronica started the business, Wilson Disciple of God Ministries, which she later rebranded to Encouraging the Heart Ministries. Veronica used these businesses to distribute Christian inspired apparel and collectibles. Until her last day she was focused on improving herself and applying her efforts to grow her business and invest in real estate.

In 1998, at the age of 34, Veronica purchased her home in North Plainfield, New Jersey, where she would reside until her passing. Veronica was remarkably crafty and possessed many talents. She was skilled in graphic design, singing, song writing, sewing, knitting, jewelry making and an exceptional hair braider.

Veronica could often be seen cutting her grass with her ride on lawnmower; frequenting hardware stores for household projects she was working on and pulling furniture and appliances out of her Toyota Corolla; which she was sure to have gotten on sale and at a further discounted price. She loved to watch movies, visit amusement parks, getting two scoops of Guernsey Crest Ice Cream in Paterson New Jersey, and to sing gospel songs to God at the top of her lungs. Veronica was a devout Christian and ended her life a member of John Haggee Ministries.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved son, Wes W. Wilson III;  her precious granddaughter, Ashley Winta Wilson; her loving sisters, Wanda Gray, Gilda Wallace, and Sealstina Richards; her devoted nephews, Keith McCall, Christopher McCall, and Kenneth Lemon; and her niece, Sheneoqua Douglas. She will be lovingly remembered by a host of cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her mother, Ella Mae Pearson, and her father, Henry Douglas.
